The Water Dog - Lynchburg

Delicious food, excellent beer, outdoor seating available, and fantastic service!

A great place to dine at in Lynchburg. Outside seating that is dog friendly, with nice scenery. The burgers are great along with sweet potato fries. Service is great too. 5 ? Update: We come to Lynchburg every so often, and The Water Dog has become our favorite spot. Great environment, all of our servers have provided excellent service, and best of all the food is delicious! From burgers, to sandwiches, salads, oysters or shrimp; never have we've had a bad meal. The chicken Philly was pretty good, but the fries and homemade ranch were incredible! I'd return just for those.

I tried the mushroom po' boy sandwich and fries (with no Parmigiano cheese), and it was absolutely delicious. There was so much flavor in that sandwich that I would love to see what other vegan options the chef might create. I encourage the restaurant to consider expanding their vegan menu. My daughter is a student at Randolph College, so we're always on the lookout for places to eat in Lynchburg when we visit her. This was our first time at Water Dog, and we’re eager to return on our next trip. For those seeking vegetarian options: there's just one sandwich labeled as vegan, but it's truly delightful. The fries are tasty as well, though be sure to request them without cheese.
