Finally tried it out but the expectations were too high. Sushi and sashimi were good, but their normal dishes, not so good. The yakisoba was too wet, the chicken katsudon was too dry and thin, the karaage chicken was in little popcorn shaped bits that were also too dry. I expected some moist yet big crunchy chicken (compared to Kizuki Ramen sizes), but not here. There's a map of Taiwan in the men's bathroom for a Japanese restaurant?!
Excellent food, I have been eating sushi since my Japanese wife introduced me to it in college in the early 80s and this is some of the best. And how you cut the fish makes a difference.
This was my first visit to Q Sushi Bar Kitchen. I have a friend that comes here often and loves it. I order several piece of nigiri. They were very good size pieces. I will visit again in the future.
Where do I begin? My girlfriend and I went mid-week and were delighted to see the place was very open and clean, as opposed to the usually dimly lit and occasionally claustrophobic places we 've seen in downtown. We sat ourselves and had menus and water within 2 minutes. Incredibly well priced.and man are the portions perfect. 8pc Gyoza for less than $10 was a great change of pace. HIGHLY recommend the Paradise roll, and if you want something for the table, you 've gotta get the Osaka 18pc (chefs choice, but that is not a problem). To top it all off, we did not wait for more than 10 minutes for ANYTHING. This was even more impressive since our waitress was working 5 tables, as well as doing all the pick-up orders. High quality food, high quality service, and we will certainly be back again soon.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly movies playing, very relaxed.
