Simple the best, this two dishes make the visit to this small restaurant a great experience, the best Poc Chuc and one of the best Sopa Lima that ever had! plus try an agua chaya and lemos great for refreshing and the ice cream of coconut...just great tradiotinal yuteca´s food!
Local Mayans brought me here to eat. I really enjoyed the Poc Chuc, but I make no claims of being an expert on the dish for it was the first time I ate the dish. All in all the Poc Chuc was tasty and filling, the decor, history, companionship made this a wonderful meal.
This is a very Yucatecan eatery. The Poc Chuc is excellent. The other offerings are excellent as well. We came on a weekend and it was filled with people. When we left there were people waiting outside to get in. Needless to say, the locals love it. The service was very good, even as busy as it was. I understand that a better time to go is during the week.
When we told our host in Izamal that we were headed to Oxcutzcab, he recommended that we stop in Mani for “the best poc chuc”. So we made a little diversion and are so glad we did…had only ever had poc chuc once before and were not that impressed, but boy, this place was fabulous…as is our tradition, my husband orders one item and I order something different so we can try more things, I had the queso rellano (1st time having had this) and it was delicious…we will definitely return next time we are in the area
