Additionally, our room wasn’t cleaned during the time frame promised, which forced us to adjust our plans and remain out of the room later in the afternoon than we had intended. The app offers a valet service option, but when we arrived, the valet informed us that they don’t utilize the app for that purpose—making me wonder why it’s even available. Given that we paid over $800 for a night’s stay, I expected a much higher quality experience. To make matters worse, during a particularly busy weekend, they had to close the pool twice due to unsanitary incidents involving children. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel and would not consider returning in the future.
I stayed at this resort for a conference. The beach was perfect. The service was excellent at all levels: the beach, the rooms, the pool, the conference center. The rooms were clean and comfortable with food views and quiet at night. The spa was most relaxing and private. All excellent!Rooms: 5/5
This hotel was a giant disappointment from the very moment me and my wife arrived. We decided to eat at Quinn’s on the beach attached to the hotel for a very late lunch after our flight and within hours my wife was sick and throwing up for the proceeding 24 hours. We were here for a wedding and now had to deal with food poisoning and potentially missing it. The service desk was unattainable via the room phone for some strange reason. We had to call in a mobile nurse as there is no on premise medical care. I had to file an incident report with security as the hotel manager stated he could not do anything… the security staff was extremely unhelpful as I had to follow up several times with them and staff to get an update. 5 days later we are still waiting on a resolution. We subsequently lost a day and half due to poor food management at the hotel restaurants. To top it off 5 more ppl became Ill from eating at the wedding and when approaching staff to discuss they accused them of over drinking instead of investigating and handling the matter more professionally.I wish that was the end of this nightmare stay, the buffet breakfast cost a staggering $100 for two ppl and the coffee shop and easy $50 for coffee and some basic breakfast items (yogurt/muffins). This place is a giant rip off.We unfortunately got stuck at the hotel during the recent hurricane and the staff was beyond uncaring given the circumstances. We had children with our party and would not let us gather in empty rooms to keep them occupied. The security staff if you can call them that were on a laughable power trip and were extremely rude. For a JW Marriott this place is does not live up to the name… this was by FAR the worst.NEVER AGAIN.Rooms: Basic and not worth the ridiculous $700 a night.Food drinks: If your into food poisoning then go for it.
Location was awesome! Loved the beach. The hotel was nice. Stay in the Lanai rooms. That’s a newer part of the hotel. We stayed in the Tropical Island Towers rooms. Our room was just ok. I was expecting more for the money we paid. There’s also not many food options at the hotel past 8p. It would have been nice to have a little store or something open past 8. Ice cream or dessert place would have been nice! The bigger restaurants are open later but nothing for snacks or desserts or anything like that.
This could have been a good experience, but the service was too slow for my taste. we didn't spend 3 hours at dinner because we wanted to. eating was very moderate and the steak of my wife came out cold.
