This location is not as crowded as when it use to be over by Fairburn Dr. However with the move, the prices seem to have gone up. We had a good variety of food. There was good flavour to all the dishes and everything was tender, even the tripe. I will continue to use this as my diy dim sum place.
Fu Kee relocated to the strip plaza across from Markville Mall. I have been to the Scarborough location and this is easier to get a parking spot. The selections may not be as good as Scarborough. Yes their dim sum's quality is quite comparable to some or even better than some dim sum restaurants. My favorite are the bean Curd rolls, chicken feet, Chiu Chow dumplings.... and more. Aside from dim sum, they have ready to heat soups, entrées, desserts and much much more. So make sure you have enough freezer space, as I always ended up getting more than I planned! Open everyday even on statutory holidays.
I live 4.5 hours away, and the drive is totally worth it for a visit to this establishment so I can buy all the dim sum my heart desires to bring back home. I haven't had a bad item from this place. Everything tastes like you're eating at a restaurant, great quality with good portions and prices are fair. The packages have instructions on how to steam. I really love their bean curd rolls, egg yolk lava buns, baby curry octopus, shrimp dumplings, and soup dumplings. If you spend $100, you get a complimentary cooler bag. The interior is organized and clean. Worst thing is the parking sucks! It can be quite stressful finding a spot.
So many options for frozen dim sum! It has all your staples and more. I came on a weekday night so was able to get parking easily and it wasn't too busy so I could take my time browsing. Pricing is decent for the size of the dim sum varieties. Quality is really good tastes the same as any dim sum restaurant I've been to. I like that they have all the steaming instructions right on the package compared to the other frozen places had none or on a piece of paper. I definitely recommend coming during non peak hours as it can get really busy.
This place is damn busy. Good selection of frozen products. Fair-sized place. Parking can be troublesome though, unless you choose a less busy time to shop there when they're open. I wish they would put the basket carts elsewhere, other than beside the cash desk, where people are lining up to pay and are in the way.
