I chose the tomato soup, which turned out to be very peppery, while my friend got the mushroom soup, which was more like a thick glob of mushroom paste. To make matters worse, there was no bread with our soups. I had to wave her down to request it, and I also asked for water. When I saw that sourdough was an option, I got excited. However, she brought us two slices of what resembled store-bought bread—think Wonder Bread. I was beginning to wonder if we were going to get the water at all, but she eventually brought it. It’s worth noting that the restaurant had only two other occupied tables and one person at the counter. Maybe the server was having an off day or dealing with something difficult; I can’t be sure. However, she never asked us how our food was, which left us feeling like we didn’t matter. I always try to be kind and respectful to those in customer service roles, but I won’t be returning to this place again.
Charming farmhouse-style café with ample indoor space, free Wi-Fi, and clean restrooms. The food was homemade and fresh. We enjoyed a chef salad, a chicken salad sandwich, and stuffed pepper soup.
This café features a clean aesthetic and a charming, vintage ceiling that immediately catches the eye. When I first walked in, I wasn't sure if it was the right spot for just a simple latte, as it had more of a diner atmosphere. However, I was pleasantly surprised when the woman behind the counter quickly prepared an excellent latte; it was clear she knew her craft. My friend ordered an iced latte and was thrilled to discover that her ice cubes were made of coffee—what a fantastic idea! I haven't come across that anywhere else yet. I'm really glad we decided to stop here during our travels. By the way, I also love the wooden sign out front!
Very cute little cafe. Clean good food kind service. We ordered an omelet and a breakfast burrito with some iced coffee. The coffee had iced coffee cubes. I would go back here when I’m in the area. Great place. Keep up the good work Beyond the Grind!
1st timers there and it was a spectacular experience. The service, atmosphere and food was great. The sausage is homemade. We will definitely be back.
