Contribuer aux commentairesToo Fat Buns: First off, I love the name! I treated myself to what’s known as the 'man bun.' While it was quite delicious, I found the burger to be a bit pricey for what it offered. The burger was cooked perfectly, but after a long day of wine tasting on Waiheke Island, it didn't quite hit the spot as I’d hoped. Nonetheless, I would definitely return and give this place another chance!
Regarding the food, the burgers are quite good, though they are a bit pricey for what you receive. I added blue cheese to my veggie burger, which was a delightful enhancement. The aioli served with the chips has a strong flavor, just like a good aioli should, and the milkshake is an incredibly thick and rich chocolate treat that gives you a brain freeze in the best way possible. It's the perfect spot for comfort food, and you'll leave with a satisfied appetite.
The beef patties here are top-notch and always satisfying. The aioli and fries are consistently great as well.
Ordered the chicken/bacon burger, fish burger and fries. All I can say is these are the BEST burgers I have had in New Zealand! They take their time to make these gorgeous gourmet beauties (15 20 mins so be patient it will definitely pay off :
Good burger place on waiheke island. Has a fresh urban feel to it, but many seats inside so be prepared to take away.....but hey is waiheke who wants to be inside anyway. We had the venison and a fish burger. The burgers were juicy and tasty without the filling and sauces being too wet and sloppy. Both burgers were freshly made with fresh ingredients and buns. The place is a bit hidden down a row of shops but if burgers are your thing then it's worth finding this place.
