I visited Smoothie King in Matthews as it is by far the best with efficiency and customer service. However this morning was a different experience. I arrived at the drive thru around 7:40 or 7:45 and I get my usual the PB Swizzle. The young lady taking my order asked would I like to add anything I said no but could you please make I get sure I a little more peanut butter on the swizzle. When I arrived to the window to pay it was $14.98. $2.00 extra for asking for a little more peanut butter?! I can see if I got a bowl without peanut butter and I wanted it as an add on then yes the $2.00 charge would be accurate, but the bowl already coms with peanut butter. It’s just the principle of it all.
This place is always so slow no matter the time of the day. It is pretty obvious that management has little to no regards for customer service. There has yet to be a single occasion that I arrive from ordering my smoothie ahead of time and still not have to wait 5-15 minutes AFTER the time the app says your order will be ready. And what is worst is the employees always seem like they have a chip on their shoulder, so not only is your order bound to be made at a snail's pace but they also give you a side of attitude with it.
I come in about once a week and the smoothies always taste great and come out in a timely manner. The service is great. Workers are super friendly and always listen to my fun facts, such as how Indonesia is the world’s largest producer of nickel. Some even take the time to get to know you and your order. Can’t recommend enough.
My husband and I have had the worst experience's while ordering from this location. We both feel very targeted and it's very obvious. There are flies always on the inside of the store on the different surfaces. The rating is a 97.0. The manager and another employee have been the main two making us feel like we are not welcomed in the store. They go so far as to talk about us very obviously when we're in the store. The customer service from those two is the worst I've had. I've been to other stores around the city and I've not had those problems. It's a shame that paying for items that are not inexpensive comes with uncleanliness, targeting, lack of customer service, and rudeness from employees including the manager. I can gladly spend my money somewhere I'm treated right since I go basically everyday.
