Used to love this place a year or two back when it was the only option in the area (can't argue with convenience) but it has been on a severe decline in the last year. The food going down in quality while remaining the same price would be one thing, but these days they've taken to randomly closing during hours they should be open without even noting it on their facebook. Won't waste my time trying to provide business to a restaurant that clearly doesn't want it when there are now superior options in the area both in terms of quality and portion size for roughly the same price.
Our server was friendly, but the overall experience was terrible as the smell of the bathroom was overwhelming. We wished they would close the doors to alleviate the scent. The food was disappointing; for example, the appetizer sampler my partner ordered included burnt eggs instead of crab balls, and the stuffed jalapenos were filled with the same crab mixture. While my partner found the gumbo to be tender, my Po-Boy sandwich lacked enough salad or pickles. Overall, we found the food to be subpar and not worth a return visit. Additionally, the staff were dismissive when other customers left unhappy.
The food at this restaurant was amazing! We traveled down from Northeast Arkansas and were delighted by the delicious dishes. I had forgotten just how fantastic the food is here.
This is a great little local spot. Nicole was very welcoming and attentive. The onion rings, fried alligator, shrimp and fish po-boys, and crab au gratin were all delicious.
