I received the smallest chicken fried steak I have ever seen. Served bare, no gravy. A hand full of fries and a salad that was nothing but a couple lettuce leaves torn up in a bowl. I asked about the gravy, plate was returned to kitchen and brought back with brown gravy. I looked at menu later and realized I didn't get my toast. This meal for $11.79. I would have gave one star but waitress was trying but obviously untrained.
Went with a friend after hearing very good things, received a hilariously poor experience for my trouble. Our waiter was learning, so I 'll give him a pass for the poor service, but while taking our order I 'm pretty sure he just wasn 't listening. We were the only customers in the building so I couldn 't understand the lack of attention we received. Also worth mentioning was the pretty sub par food. I had the chicken bacon melt, which was a few hairs less than decent. Seemed like microwave quality food. My buddy got the pizza burger and I am to this day confused as to what about it made it pizza. It was what looked like a patty that was, in a former life, a public school cafeteria country fried steak on a burger bun. The bill for these two sandwiches turned out to 15 dollars. For what we received, this is about 3 times too expensive.
The food is incredible, and the staff are wonderful. It's a fantastic place to dine, always beautiful and welcoming. I absolutely love the food here whenever I get the chance to visit!
The cafe is up for sale. Some items on the menu were unavailable. The food was decent.
