The food is consistently excellent, and the gentleman who takes the orders is always friendly and polite.

I recommend choosing a different restaurant. I visited for the first time a few days ago, and one of the employees kept staring at me while I was eating, which made for an awkward experience. Most of the tables were dirty and greasy, the bathrooms were in poor condition, and the food was just average.

I’ve always enjoyed the food here, but the owner’s rude behavior is a major downside. The restaurant itself is quite dirty, with burnt-out light bulbs and several missing letters from the menu displayed on the wall. The worst part was the vulgar music playing, which the owner was singing along to. Since the food is made fresh, you either have to endure the music or leave. I felt bad for the two women in front of me, so I suggested they wait outside and I would bring their food to them when it was ready. It’s clear the owner doesn’t seem to care about the atmosphere anymore.

I was craving an Italian beef. And man this little place sure did deliver. Hot, wet and spicy just how I like em'. Will definitely go back again.

I was looking forward to my meal here based on the reviews for the gyro. For those that think this is the best they've had, I would say they need to get out a little further than Mchenry. This gyro was good, not great. The tzatziki.sauce wa lbs fair. It may have be homemade but failed on comparison to a place in libertyville and also one in Lake Zurich just to name a few that are not too far away. The fries were the skinny fries and were hot along with the rest of the plate. The pita was fresh and hot. My Dr.Pepper was calibrated well and overall I'm happy with the meal, but let's keep this in perspective. I would come back for this or to try something different.
