The Currant Shed - MCLAREN VALE

I took my parents and sister here for mum's birthday whilst they were here visiting me from overseas. Having visited the Currant Shed previously and having a good experience last time, it was not hard for us to decide to come back here. The team at the Currant Shed did not disappoint. The waitress who served us was great, she was friendly and took her time explaining all the dishes. The food was exceptionally good as always! We opted for 3 course lunch as we had a 15months old toddler with us. All 4 of us enjoyed our food and had a great time! Thank you again for another great experience. We will definitely be back for sure

We booked into The Currant Shed for a Sunday lunch for my wife's birthday. 9 of us in total and we had a table booked for outside. That morning they rang us and suggested although it was nice outside it might be better to consider an inside table which we accepted. In short the meal was fantastic, the service fantastic and the whole experience made for a very pleasant afternoon. Thank you

As it was a friend's birthday, we decided to go to the Current Shed for lunch. It was a bleak, wet day, but it was the warmth, friendliness and quality of the food that made the day. Our wait staff, Tarryn, looked after us extremely well. There was also no issue that I required a vegan menu. Several of the meals could be adapted, so there was no problem there. All 5 of us thought the food was outstanding. When it arrived at the table, it looked incredible. So beautifully presented on the plate. We are already planning another day there.

I have been a loyal fan of the current shed for a long time now, and even with changes in management, it continues to impress. This restaurant in McLaren Vale consistently delivers excellent dishes made with local ingredients, offering high-quality food that is served generously at a great value. Diners can enjoy views of the lime trees and vineyards, with a grassy area available for games. The staff at the current shed is always top-notch, providing professional service without being overly attentive.

We had a fantastic experience at The Currant Shed. The service was friendly and down-to-earth, the food was carefully crafted, sophisticated, and contemporary, and the setting was absolutely beautiful. We will definitely recommend this place and will visit again next time we're in the area.
