They’ve since discontinued using their fryer (or maybe got rid of it? and they no longer have fries in the menu. I’ve been back a few times since then hoping it was temporary but seems to be that the fryer is gone and now all they have is breakfast potatoes as a side option… This was a huge disappointment as they used to have regular and sweet potato fries which we loved. The filet salad isn’t the same anymore. The last few months the food has not been as good as it used to be before.
I knew about this bakery when I was pregnant, I was craving for Cheesecake. The first time was amazing, but the second and third was not the same. Attention was really bad, not even an smile. The espresso was cold, the strawberry from the cheesecake top looked old and dry. They don’t clean the tables immediately people leave the place. I don’t think We could come back again.
I ordered a hot ham and cheese. Cheddar ,White bread cut on a diagonal, side of mustard.tomato. Bread was whole wheat, shredded cheddar, cut down the middle, no tomato no mustard. Bread was stale. The cook had shoulder length hair with no net.what a disappointment. Bartrams has always been one of my go to places to eat.
Listen, I have heard a lot of hype about a certain other bakery in the area...don't believe it! Bartram's beats it, HANDS DOWN!! The only problem with my late day visit is that they were sold out of their cakes and my favorite chocolate croissants...but no worries! I definitely purchased alternatives! Try Bartram's Bakery! You will NOT be disappointed!!!
5/13/23 I give Bartram’s 3 stars today, instead of 1, because I live in McMurray don’t want them to leave town. Watching them expand all over the Pittsburgh area, I’m thinking McMurray is the neglected step child. 2010 2020 Bertram’s here was FABULOUS! Eggs Benedict to die for! Pasteries that rivaled Europe. They’re recipes for food are scrumptious, when prepared correctly. Since the Pandemic, the service food preparation has been erratic, at best. DON’T CHANGE YOUR RECIPES. DON’T CHANGE YOUR OFFERINGS. Charge more if you must, but find a regular cook staff that know what they are doing. PLEASE.
