Wish i would have before deciding to go there for our anniversary dinner. We werent greeted. We were served flat pop and then after an hour of waiting we were served burgers so raw they may as well have been mooing .Incredibly disappointing. We were staying at the lodge for the night. In the middle of a crazy storm and ended up having to drive back into medicine hat for dinner in a blizzard because the one restaurant open in the whole community doesnt take any pride in what they are doing .Do better. Your community would probably be very thankful to have some GOOD food .
I came here for the Christmas Day buffet. The location of the restaurant is nice within the Cypress Hills. The food was quite well done for the most part. The curry squash soup was probably the most unique and flavorful thing offered. Other traditional Christmas foods were done well. Service was decent but not outstanding. I will come here again when I am visiting Elkwater, or perhaps the buffet will become a Christmas tradition as long as it is offered.Parking: Drive around the hotel to the back to find the parking lot and entrance.
Yeah, I don't even know where to start but I think other reviews pretty much say it all. It's too bad because I suspect these owners were hoping to create something decent, but the overall poor quality of food and distracting and disjointed décor were almost too much. I'd advise the owners to gut the place (tear down that wall the divides the place) and create some sort of clean and bright space. It's just sad and dumpy.
This is the restaurant attached to our hotel, a nice upscale spa hotel, but this meal was anything but great. The pasta was ice cold, the hamburger burnt to a crisp and the bottom of the bun was rock hard, the beef nachos were burnt and very very little ground beef, the kids chicken fingers and fries were ok and hot, but we did not go back. The prices were sky high (probably cause there are only two restaurants to access in the park) and the food was not good. The front staff and the waiter though, absolutely amazing. The chef though was scruffy looking and kept coming to get a drink at the bar and pulling up his sagging torn pants and pushing his hair off his face, he looked scruffy, not what i thought a chef at a spa hotel restaurant would look like. There were water leaking marks everywhere, torn carpet, stained walls, dirty chairs...it just needs some upgrading so it fits in with the amazing hotel its attached to.
French Toast was delicious. Large portion. Along with a large pot of tea.Hills breakfast was served hot as well .with coffeeService was good .
