It may be small, and not have the greatest curb appeal, but food was good, came out quick and server was very nice. Can’t ask for much more than that! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Stopped in one rainy morning while waiting for Reister Meats to open to stock up on brats! Great simple small town seat yourself atmoshphere. The morning we arrived there was only one employee working! She was cooking, taking phone calls, taking orders and serving simultaneously without skipping a beat and she was an expert at it! She left us a whole carafe of great coffee (bonus points for that) and the food was good! Only slight down side was the lack of English muffins toast only. We were glad to see a second employee show up as we were about to leave since it was getting busier! We will definitely stop again! Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
I get a little sentimental about the Medina Cafe. It's everything a small town cafe should be. Old school charm, home cooked meals, excellent specials (the day we stopped, country style sausage, knoephla and kraut were on special), friendly service, friendly locals and good conversation. You walk in and it just feels like home. Pro-tip: The family that owns the cafe owns a butcher shop in Streeter (which isn't too far away), and have a storefront (Reister Meats) across from the cafe. Bring a cooler and stock up on brats, kuchen, etc. Vegetarian options: I'd recommend the cheese omelette for non meat eaters.
