The good and bad: Bad: 10% service charge on a 3,500$ bill (tipping is not typically done in Australia) Rude waitresses Arrogant and snobby.
Everybody I likes this joint, you would if you like meat, meat, meat, dairy and seafood.
Its pretty simple decor, but the food and service were definitely above par. Ian our waiter was simply outstanding. His wine recommendations were perfect and he even suggested other venues and locations to try while we were in town - definitely a great ambassador for the restaurant and the city.
From the moment you step in, you are made to feel like royalty. Wonderful service, food and wine. Could not fault until payment - I rarely tip in Australia as the staff are well remunerated and the cost of the meal did exceed $400! Staff are doing a great job but I didn't feel the need to give another 10% as a tip. Prices of food and especially wine rather expensive too. Suffice to say, hostess clearly not impressed with lack of tip. Her body language screamed it out and we left with a sour feeling. Otherwise, would have been a perfect lunch!
