Yassa was full of people, music and atmosphere. but after eating there I wouldn't return. for what we have, it was too expensive. the $125 meat plate serves dry. overcooked kreise and they don't get much for their money. the $185...seafood platter was better, but still a lot of cuddles to pay! the servier staff was very nice. Nevertheless, people seemed to enjoy themselves, so they try it for themselves. but for me, will stay at our local suburb Greek restaurants and also avoid the nightmare of driving in the city and parking on a Saturday night.
We were here a few times, but now something is very wrong. saganaki didn't serve lemon. Seriously! the chicken gyros were terrible. chewy yuk! and limp lettuce is just not right!
Great location and very friendly staff. Eating is very good. some negative. we went there for Sunday dinner, to the party of nine and we sat right in front of the band. from the moment we settled, and I talk about generations, we all commented. how loud the band was. we couldn't hear each other and we had to scream each other over the table. no exaggeration. I enjoy the sound of Greek music. we wanted the band to turn off the loudness easily. the keyboard player did so, but the Bouzouki player looked at him, looked at us and shook his head at the keyboard player to turn him up again. arrogance. advises what young, Sunday afternoon is not about them, should they be background, not the center of attention. we wanted to be moved, what the personal did happy. next they forgot our deserts. we had to ask ourselves when the restaurant was empty, about an hour after our main meal. if a party spends well over a thousand dollars for eating and drinking, they expect better and do not forget.
Booked for 5pm before a concert at the Arts Centre. Taken to a table on the balcony overlooking the river which was covered in and a heater going in the area. Water glasses on table. Waitress took our order and wine appeared within a...few mins. One of our favorite Venetian Pino Griggos which is hard to get. Food was incredible. Ordered 3 dips which were delivered quickly but one was not the type we asked for. Promptly changed with an apology. Greek Mushrooms Moussaka arrived about 15 mins later. Mushies were beautiful and moist with a yummy filling. The Moussaka can only be described in one word borrowed from a foodie friend of ours. FOODGASM !!!! The BEST ever we have tasted. Rich thick béchamel sauce with Greek cheese in it on top of a potato, eggplant herby mince. Have made this dish ourselves and takes most of the day but this one was incredible. Definitly will be back.
