I ordered 15 Steamed Pork Dumplings for $10.60, Traditional Steamed Xiao Long Bao for $11.80, Steamed Xiao Long Bao with Crab and Pork for $13.80, and Kung Pao Chicken Noodles for $13.90. The xiao long bao were amazing, so juicy. Even the steamed dumplings were good, my friend from Shanghai confirmed it. However, the kung pao chicken noodles were not that great. They tasted more like sweet and sour chicken rather than kung pao.
Pros: - Good ambiance. The busy atmosphere shows that the food is excellent and attracts a crowd every day. - Great value for money. - All dishes are flavorful. - They offer unlimited servings of tea and chili oil, which is not common at many dumpling places. Cons: - Expect long waiting lines on weekends. - Your order may take some time to arrive due to the crowd. Must-try dishes: - Chicken and prawn dumplings in chili oil - Xiao long baos (pork or chicken/prawn) - Fried pork dumplings - Fresh curd with preserved egg (if you like tofu) - not my favorite, but my friends enjoyed it.
I would suggest coming with a group of friends to share a variety of dishes, but be prepared for some wait time!
Good quality food which is definitely worth its price. The place is often packed, and you often place your orders while you are waiting in line outside due to how busy it gets. Apart from how busy it gets, and the staff rushing you towards the end of your meal, it’s a great spot for dumplings!
