One of the best pizza places in town! SPQR is located on a charming laneway in the CBD, true to Melbourne style. The menu is straightforward but offers authentic flavors. It's perfect for a quick bite after an event downtown. We stumbled upon this gem after a disappointing experience at another restaurant, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. We tried the Pepperoni and the Hey Pesto pizzas, both of which were absolutely delicious. We will definitely be returning in the future!
I was disappointed by our initial dining experience at a different restaurant, but our night took a turn for the better when we stumbled upon SPQR Pizza. We were drawn in by the warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the sight of happy diners through the big windows. After experiencing subpar service and no food at our previous stop, we were pleasantly surprised to be seated at a cozy table for two at SPQR Pizza. The chalkboard menu was filled with tempting pizza options, and we were thrilled to enjoy delicious doughy delights in a more intimate setting.
Came here on Sunday evening. And apparently we have to book, but luckily we manage to just walked in. Couldnt remember what we got. But we definitely had the seasonal pizza which was the white pizza. It was ok for that one, not really a big fan of the potatoes on the pizza. But loves the red pizza with meat and rocket on top! : pretty filling for me hahaha
We had a trio of pizzas on a full-on busy Saturday night here. All 3 didn't disappoint. <br/ <br/ The Margherita was a cheesy delight. Loved the mozzarella and parmesan combination. The Zucca was delicious (especially if you're a fan of pumpkin)! It was the first time I've had pumpkin on a pizza and it sure won't be the last time. And finally, the Hey Pesto had lovely creamy eggplant with pesto and cheese. The pizza dough was soft yet chewy and well charred. <br/ <br/ The pizzas come with a premium price tag and service was a bit hot and cold. All in all, a pleasant night at SPQR.
