Headed home to PA from NOLA we stopped by this sweet little local spot for lunch on a Wednesday. We enjoyed our time here, the food was lovely. I had the chicken and dumplings with cabbage and corn and husband had the shrimp wrap and fries. We shared a piece of black bottom pie for dessert that I won?t soon forget. The restaurant was full of lovely antique touches including salved tin from the local opera house. Everyone was super kind and welcoming. Hopefully we?ll make itback through Meridian to visit this 86 year old institution again someday. If you?re passing through stop here? no fast food, get a real meal from kind people.
The lunch was fair... overpriced for the portions. we've been here for many years and today was probably the last time. as good as before.
