Portofino Italian - Merrimack

I love this place north end esse without going to boston.

Having worked in various roles in the restaurant industry in the past, I was disappointed with the lackluster experience at this particular establishment. A lackadaisical young girl seated us without any enthusiasm, and a brusque waiter admitted they were only hired for their name. The supposed upscale restaurant seemed to be lacking the elegance they were striving for, and we didn't feel any special ambiance for our evening. The fried calamari appetizer arrived promptly, followed closely by the broth and oil. It was tasty, but things moved too quickly for our liking. My friend ordered a beer, which was poured into a glass, while I opted for water. The lasagna and zuppa de pesce arrived swiftly, and we felt rushed to eat. The dishes were not as enjoyable as expected, with a lack of attention to detail. The zuppa de pesce had minimal seafood, including a few shrimp, scallops, and muscles, with an insufficient amount of angel hair pasta. The broth had a delicious flavor with a hint of spice. The lasagna lacked ricotta cheese but had a tasty meat sauce. Overall, we found the experience to be disappointing and overpriced. I will not be returning to this restaurant in the future.

I've been very disappointed here. the apps were amazing, but my waitress julie left a very bad taste in my mouth. they started chatting with us and we enjoyed it first until the evening meal arrived. Dinner was watery, no soned stick to my pasta and I had pointed it to july that she said they had the chefs to remake it for me. she spoke very loud and bad about us in the kitchen, with us right in front of the door. the food was brought back to the same way, only added more sauce, but still extremely watery. no taste in the food, it tasted all frozen, very bitter. they also haunted other restaurants we visit, which we never had a bad experience there, but they were closed today, so that this is the only reason we chose this restaurant to go today. avoid this place when they can, poor service and bad quality of the food.

Everything I've ever had was delicious. the calfsalbe was amazing, and her red sauce is one of the best I ever had. as an additional bonus makes emily a fantastic drink when she tends bar her in for a tasty.

I absolutely loved the food and our waitress was fantastic. I will definitely be coming back every week. It is the best value in Southern New Hampshire.
