The cider is also top-notch. We tried their steak and ale pies, which were delicious - the pastry was perfectly cooked and not greasy at all. The chips and gravy were also exceptional. They have a convenient app for placing orders at your table. Overall, a fantastic experience and highly recommended.
Most of the food is really tasty, great quality and tastes fresh, however i do not recommend the “chicken and halloumi trey” as it’s very very greasy and overpriced for what it is. Service isn’t good, i’ve been waiting for my food for 45min (the restaurant is empty) and i’ve finished and i’m waiting another 45 min for an apple pie with a scoop of ice cream… meanwhile the dishes are sat on the table and waiters coming past not even noticing them this is pretty ridiculous as the restaurant is not busy at all.
A hidden gem near an art gallery, the Park may not be well-known but is definitely worth a visit for those in the know.
This local pub is fantastic, with a wide variety of beers and a wonderful atmosphere. The food is also excellent, with standout dishes like the dirty fries and Mac and cheese toastie.
A relaxed small pub within a few minutes walk from the station. It was a quiet evening and was in the mood for a burger and fries. I went for the classic burger which came with onion rings and upgraded to some dirty fries. Service was polite and friendly, burger was decent and so were the onions rings. Fries were a little salty though and would not order them next time. Overall an enjoyable small pub with decent food.
