I would recommend avoiding the tuna, squid, and pasta dishes at this restaurant. My experience here was extremely disappointing and I would consider it the worst dinner I have had in Manila.
The service is very good, eating is great and beautiful. the environment is also very beautiful. to have a really nice place to recover and drink, this place will certainly visit again.
We had a late lunch on a table outside. the server was cool and amusing, the atmosphere put back. a surprisingly large selection of local craftsmen beer on the menu and interesting ingredients in the dressed. yes, that made it a little more expensive than...usually, but it's gone bonifacio and they pay for uplifted living in every city, right? I had an Amber-Ale, which was a little more fruity than I like, but still good. And it was nice to know that there are more beer in this country than san mig. I ate the erdnuss pesto and chic lasagna, curded with carabao (buffalo) delicious.
I’l start by saying their staff we very kind and attentive to an extent. We were greeted and shown the way (although we were shown the wrong reservation . First of, be aware that this is a pricey resto. Not exactly in my budget range,...but we were kinda in a celebratory mood (and I secured a discount . Glass of B&B wine P410. I didn’t sample but my friend said it was ok. Soft shell crab, 2 pcs I think. Could use a little more seasoning. Not crunchy though, I was expecting something more pop-corny crunch. P520... The herbed chicken was the tastiest amongst our orders (it being the easiest to cook . It came with a tamarind sauce and cunes of squash zucchinis, and a small scoop of pako salad with radish garnish. It wasn’t extra ordinary but it was good enough for me. P490. Now my dish, I was sooo underwhelmed. So much so I had to call the server’s attention. Firstly, it was half the size of the usual block of liempo (honestly 1/4 the size of Applebee’s liempo serving . It was so small I had to ask if it was a discounted kind of serving (was told its the regular serving . At P540, I expected a lot. Boy was I disappointed. It didn’t really have that distinct santol flavor. What got me off was how hard the meat was. Really sad. I was offered to have it replaced after being told its because it was smoked, but I declined, but thank you for offering.
