I thoroughly enjoyed myself despite the cons . During my stay, I did see that the hotel is undergoing renovations which is good. This hotel has a lot of potential and again the staff was very friendly, I felt at home.
Definitely a good hotel for a decent price, right on the main strip on ocean drive. The hotel has a elevator, really nice dining room area, out side seating, a nice latin restaurant cafe that's down stairs and its connected to the hotel .only compliant there was no pool.but as guests you have access to the victor hotel right up the street, that has a really nice pool.you also have access to there internet cafe, that has apple desktop computers and free wifi. The food is really good me and my wife enjoyed their food and drinks.I had chicken cutlets with yellow rice and beans, and my wife had taco salad plus a couple of alcoholic beverages. The staff over there was great, the rooms were clean, the sheets and towels well maintained. The room service and customer service was good. Don't forget the beach is right across the street. Definitely a good price hotel on ocean drive with out you breaking the bank.
This was very much an OK hotel. The biggest benefit to staying here is the location. You're required to enter through an open restaurant which situates in front of the hotel entrance. Check-in is slow. Which was a little annoying as we were busting for a bathroom at the time. It seems they haven't updated their technology in a long while. They do have free wifi which is good. (We were a little confused at first as the room card we were given said a wifi code was required but the person who served us couldn't find one for us. As for the room, it's small but nice. Bed is comfy and there's a crazy double shower which is pretty cool. Our view wasn't great but I suppose natural light counts for something? What we didn't like was that the bathroom pointed towards the front of the building and there was a spotlight shining through the window at night. The bathroom door does not stop light (it is frosted glass so our room, where we slept, was extremely bright throughout the night. The walls and doors do not seem to stop sound. We could hear very clearly anyone moving or talking in the connecting hallway and who knows if anyone could hear us in our room. Little unsettling.
Amazing place to come for first times. I myself am from Miami but my wife is not and we loved the atmosphere live music and sea food. Cocktails were amazing, great service by Ramazan
Let me start by saying this hotel is in a great location. Right in the heart of all the action of South Beach. Everything is within walking distance or you can rent a bicycle. The property though seems to be in a state of renovation and transition. It has great potential but the property and rooms are quirky. During our stay, elevators were not working. We were assigned a room facing the beach on the 5th floor, north side of the building but we had to carry everything up the stairs. This adds another hurdle, we had to walk out back to the alley, very dark and seedy at night, wall to the fire stairs hallway and walk up the fire stairs to the room. The room had no room number designation on it and opened right into the room. This is clearly meant to be a back emergency door. If you forget to lock the handle, anyone from the alley can access the room. And let me tell you, if anything 'bad ' happens nobody will know. No cameras and no access to the office. Just stairs towards the alley. The room had nice laminate floors, bed and linens were nice, small fridge, wardrobe closet. The front room had no furniture in it. Just windows that opened towards the beach and a door that is the front door opening up to only the door to the room next door and the elevator. The bathroom was nice BUT there was a glass paned door right in front of the shower and toilet that exits to a rear terrace that exits to another set of fire stairs. We didn 't eat at the property and the only parking was at a nearby public garage at $20 a day. The one shining star during our stay was the night desk clerk, Alfred, who checked us in. He helped us carry our stuff up the stairs, kept apologizing for the elevator not working and offered us champagne for our trouble. He also covered the windows of the door in the bathroom so we could have some privacy and probably told maintenance because the next day they frosted the glass. The other employees we dealt with seemed disinterested and even bothered by our asking questions or for help when the fire door was closed to gain access to the stairs to the room. And it helps that I speak Spanish so I could understand what was being said when we did ask for help. I probably would not stay here again in the future but the location and price would be enough to suggest others to try it but not be surprised by anything. I do hope this was just an anomaly and the norm. The property does have potential.
