The oxtails were tough and tasteless, the chicken was dry and tasteless and the sauce for both was bland. This was the worse meal I've ever eaten from this restaurant. I don't know if they have a new cook or what, but nothing about this food tasted good or had the traditional jamaican seasonings. I also ordered two fried dumplings and they were fried very hard and tasted like vinegar. Just nasty. I can't say if or when I will order from this restaurant again.
Food was cold, and it tasted poor. Come on, I'm not even Caribbean and I could have done better. I had the curry goat. The lady looked nice, and clean which made me think even more so the food would be of quality but it wasn't. Why did I have to wait so almost 10 minutes to get cold bad tasting food. No flavor cabbage, and one dry tasteless plantain. I should have kept driving, I heard they were good a long time ago. Definitely not anymore. I could tell by what I was given other choice food would be of poor taste and quality too. Please hire a better chef and stop the mess.
I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. On my last two visits, the food has been disappointing. The oxtails weren't very good, and despite the price increase, the portion sizes have decreased—I'm getting even less food than before. The rice was undercooked, and the gravy just isn't what it used to be. I'm not sure what has happened to this place, but it hasn't met its standards for years. Save your money and go elsewhere!
"I have purchased food from this restaurant for the last 26 years . On my last trip to this restaurant I received 3 pieces of brown stew chicken each the size of a chicken nugget. One piece of the chicken was approximately 85% bone of the chicken thigh. I spoke to the rude lady at the front counter who said "If I give you anymore chicken, I want have a job. ' I 'm sure that lady would not go to the restaurant to buy a piece of chicken that 's mostly bone. The chicken thigh was cut in 6-8 pieces. I understand that chicken cost money but you don 't treat your faithful customers in that manner. As a restaurant they need to give the appropriate ration of food for the price. The only way this restaurant can convince me to come back is the make this plate right. You do not give someone 85% bone to eat this is America, we are not in a 3rd world county.
Best oxtail I’ve ever had! Good portions, butter beans, broth, amazing!!! Sides were good too (cabbage rice peas)
