Unfortunately, the golf car hired me and when I mentioned the snack lady on a golf car, she took it on her to go back to the clubhouse and they bring me... another. The car wouldn't turn off after the 9-hole roof stop. I also had to press hard on the pedal, which was very annoying. What a difference when the replacement car arrived! Thanks Snack Lady for saving our day!
Played here on a rainy Saturday morning....staff in Pro Shop were top notch super friendly and with the rain we spent a bit of time chatting with them and they were most courteous and helpful. We had the course to ourselves with the rain and the new owner even stopped by on 18th green to say hello as we were finishing. Despite the dry summer we have had the course was in great shape.
Following my recent review of Brooklea's non-existant Sunday brunch (see "So Incredibly Disappointed"), I was very impressed when the new owner reached out to express his sincere apologies for our terrible experience and in an effort to make amends, he invited my entire party to join him for their full Thanksgiving Sunday Brunch as his guest. The buffet itself was very good with plenty to choose from and I must say that everyone in my party were quite pleased with both the food and the service. As a business owner myself, I can appreciate the fact that sometimes things just don't always go well and that unfortunately clients may be disappointed with your service. What I can truly appreciate is that the new owners of Brooklea obviously care about their customers and were willing to do whatever they could to make things right. They didn't have to reach out to me and apologize and they certainly didn't have to host my party at their expense but they did and that is something that I respect and am very grateful for. Keep up the good work Brooklea.
Beautiful view out to golf course. I had pancakes and they big and fluffy and perfect. My wife had a toasted turkey sandwich with sweet potato fries and said best sweet potato fries she's ever had. The dining room staff and golf course staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The course is a nice one and does need some tlc. I was told a new owner has come in and hopefully course improvements will come.
Played Brooklea for the first time in two years last month. It is a good course, but there is a lot of construction and maintenance on such a hole is a par 3 60yrd? and some other holes had heavy equipment blocked Fairways, but its... an average course.. The sand traps are not maintained and the reach is over a busy road, so their not really accessible. This time, however, I feel that the fairways were not so hard and rough and were in better shape than I remember last time. The staff is nice and the food is also quite good.
