Cocktails were weak and too sweet. wein tasted old. french wobble suppe had zero taste. escargot was served warm, not in butter and garlic but as steamed (horrible). steak was inedible, burger was raw, branzino had secret brot and was fried in some mysterious oil and a brown sauce over a bed of slender escarole. Italian high-time soup that has a brown broth without meatballs? the list continues. did I mention that this was a Friday night? I am so tired, so much money for müll budgeted together by people who do not know how to cook served by people who do not know why it is not in order to use it. also oysters were shoved before the time and kept in a refrigerator, fearful.

We 're often traveling through PA during the holidays and have stayed at several hotels like this. They all have something to offer, and some drawbacks. This was our first time here and the initial impression was they were understaffed. That, or the staff was new? We did not get a good welcome; it was awkward checking in. The key would not unlock our room door. Both of us tried and could not turn the knob to open the room door. Back down to get the inn keeper and she easily opened the door. The knob doesn 't turn(! and the door has a REALLY heavy spring holding it closed. 'Happens all the time ' she said. So...tell the guests how to open the door? The room was OK. Each hallway has some kind of perfume sprayed in it that was offensive to me. Dinner was OK, but the bar tender was also the only waiter so everyone suffered from lack of service that night. His order system was also broken, so he suffered along with us. Breakfast was very good : Overall, OK, but it needs work. Get rid of the perfume! Hearing all of the staff complain about something or other was the worst part. I 'm trying to relax and this is not conducive.

The food was absolutely delicious. The service was a little slow, and the waitress was not particularly attentive.

Some food items were great; others just so so (lobster ravioli). Wine selection was good. Server was clueless. Said it was her first day but seemed first day ever. Full busy night.
