La Toscana - Milton

The service is always first rate. Staff are attentive and focused on giving an excellent customer experience. Have had the daily special pasta dishes that are well prepared and delicious. Located in an old landmark hotel in Milton, the dining room and bar are charming spaces that lend much to the experience.

My husband and I hosted a dinner with our friends in celebration of our 5 year wedding anniversary and it was fantastic. The atmosphere, service, and food were superb from start to finish. The prices were 100% in line with the amount of food and quality of food that we received and in fairness, I was shocked by the bill when we paid. It was far less than I expected. My favourite date night restaurant in Milton.

This is our favourite restaurant in town! We always enjoy the atmosphere, setting, food and people!!

CUSTOMER SERVICE???? JUST WHEN TAKING SOMEONES MONEY? I don’t typically write reviews but this experience gas forced me to share my thoughts. As for the restaurant during my visit, they appeared very disorganized which WOULD lead me to believe it is at this point when you want to make sure your customer service is beyond reproach! I was in for a quick bite and noticed something extremely troubling. A customer walked up to the bar and asked for a bag for the bottle of wine he purchased and did not consume. Apparently, he paid over $135 for the bottle (yes, he did point that out) and did not want to (illegally) walk out if the restaurant with the bottle without it being bagged (why a bag was not provided in the first place is beyond me). All of a sudden my associate and I hear two people at the opposite side of the bar starting to verbally assault this guy from commenting on his clothes to calling him a f???face. It was obvious they were inebriated because they guy (especially) was slurring his words and had a flushed face. What was most shocking that the two insulting the guys clothes looked like they purchased their wardrobe from Value Village (unlike the other man who had a very expensive rose gold watch and designer attire believe it was Boss or Versace). What I found to be most inappropriate was the chinese guy who worked there that I think is a part owner did and said NOTHING! The guy left after finally getting his bag and I chased after him, he communicated to me he spent over $300 per visit (couple) in the restaurant almost every week over the last few months and has never seen such an ineffective ownership before in his life not to mention such white trash as patrons who swear like the guy and his “female???” friend did. Perhaps, if an establishment can’t control how rude and vulgar someone would be to one of their customers said restaurant should not feed them so much alcohol. Oh, I forgot to mention, the guy with the wine was also thanked by another employee for masks he apparently gave the restaurant which makes it even MORE APPALLING that NO ONE addressed the belligerent couple at the end of the bar!

Great evening dinner experience with friends-the meal was excellent. Started off with home made soup, and had salmon for dinner. As always, the food was delicious, and the ambience at La Toscana was wonderful. Thank you to Pasquale and his staff!
