Despite many coffee shops around Milton being usually busy this one seems to be not so popular, sometimes I even see this place with no customers at all while there is a line at the bunker. The place itself looks clean and interesting. They have one of the biggest cabinets that I have seen with many options of baked goods, some salads, sandwiches and wraps. After trying to order a acai bowl and being told they didn't have it for today we opted to try some of the items from the cabinet. I ordered the croissant with jam and the chicken teriyaki wrap and my partner went to the sweet side and got a sticky date pudding and a lemon tart. The croissant tasted fresh and was nicely toasted so I enjoyed it but it's just a regular croissant as far as it goes, probably 3.5 out of 5. Could probably be improved if they serves their own jam or something more interesting than a processed jam container. The chicken teriyaki wrap was quite disappointing, probably the worst dish we tried today, the chicken was dry didn't taste like teriyaki, the wrap itself was not toasted enough, there were some soggy and some crunchy bites. Wouldn't order again. 2/5 The sticky date pudding despite being really sweet was delicious, it was fluffy and yummy and the whipped cream served together helped breaking through the sugar. My partner was also really happy with it and we think it deserves a 4 out of 5. Finally, the lemon tart. It was not too sweet but also could have been more zesty, the tart was nice and firm but not too hard, just didn't understand the huge serve of whipped cream that came along, don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about it, just think half that amount would have been enough but I guess some people could always use some more cream on their desserts. This tart would probably deserve something around 3.5 out of 5. Overall I was satisfied with what I was served, the long black tasted average but the food in my opinion was a bit better than your average coffee shop. Will definitely go again.
