We took off on a mini motorcycle road trip a few days ago, which of course meant we’d have to make a pit stop for food. Like many others traveling this road, we came to our stop at the popular Cedar Rail Drive-In Restaurant . Depending on which website you look at, it’s either in Harriston or Minto, either way they at least agree on the street part of the address! I didn’t feel like eating anything too heavy, so I decided on fish with onion rings instead of fries. This fish was awesome. I have no idea what kind of fish it was, just some average white fish, but the way it was fried was perfect! It had to have been deep fried, but as you can see, it wasn’t greasy at all. Because we were outside and trying to be quick I just picked it up, put the tartar sauce right on top and ate it like a piece of pizza! Yummy! The onion rings were another one of those ‘exactly what you would expect’ items. No complaints there. On a strange whim I decided to dip t
Nice spot on you way to or from your cottage! Typical food truck style choices. Staff are very nice and kind and there is a lot of space to sit outside; multiple picnic tables and even gondolas that are covered but still outside. You can also get the food package to go for the car ride. Lots and lots of parking and next to a bigger Tim Horton so you can't miss it!
We stop here most trips to the cottage. Footlong is always good, as are the fries. Burgers generally good but depends on the cook, sometimes overcooked. Not a fan of the milkshakes which to me taste artificial. Staff is friendly. Will return faithfully!
Friendly staff, well dressed hotdogs which aren 't the 'world 's best ' but they are quite good. Ice cream portions are huge! Know what to expect from a side of the road eating establishment, and your expectations will be exceeded.
