It is always freshly prepared, and the fattoush salad is excellent too. The falafel is also very tasty. However, the pita bread they serve on the side could use an upgrade as it tends to get stale quite quickly. I have noticed that the dining room is always too cold every time I visit, so a little heat would definitely make the dining experience more enjoyable. Last time I was there, everyone was dining with their jackets on.
I went to the restaurant intending to order the Baby lamb (Shish Kabab) platter but ended up getting the dinner for two instead. While waiting for my meal, I was surprised with the offer of a complimentary falafel ball, which turned out to be the crispiest, fluffiest, and most delicious one I have ever had. It's these small gestures that really make a difference! The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. I highly recommend this place! 100% recommend!
Tarboosh is the best restaurant in town, and has maintained that title for years. Normally, I don't write reviews, but Tarboosh is deserving of praise. I have been a loyal customer for over ten years! The food is consistently high-quality and the management is top-notch. They ensure that their staff is attentive and provide excellent service to every customer. The meat they serve is unmatched in quality, especially their superb beef shawarma. It is incredibly juicy, made with amazing meat, fresh ingredients, and cooked with love by the chef. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves good food. It is affordable and always a delightful experience. I urge everyone to give Tarboosh a try.
I have been coming here since 1996. When I first moved to Canada as a child in the 90s, Mississauga had 2 halal restaurants... This was one of them. The reason I still go there is the quality has not changed and that is soooo rare. They are spot on with flavor and style. I'm so happy they have not sold out to local trends. (You cannot call yourself a shawarma spot if you are offering cucumbers and banana peppers to be put in your foot long Shawarma. Sorry not sorry. I recommend and attest they have the best (authentic beef shawarma plate to date in my opinion. And the chicken is good too. (My 6 year old son said so But the stand out from any other restaurant I've had in the gta... Is the beef. Juicy and cooked to perfection always. Never once has it been stuffed with extra fat or lamb mix. The tahini (sesame seed sauce and thoum (garlic sauce is perfect. They're hummus is perfect. Tabouli... Perfect. Protions are fair and filling. Never ones have I felt still hungry after a meal.... Like some other shawarma spots (Villa Medina . If you are from the Middle East or grow up there... The food feels like home. Thanks to the family owners. Life long customer here. Long over due thank you review. I like that the restaurant is clean and has stayed simple with its furnishing. It's not over the top contemporary or super fancy. It's a proper mom and pop spot that provides true authentic comfort food for the Middle Eastern pallet. I Love this place, I highly recommend it and support it. Open since 89. yep! Worth every dollar and it is not overpriced. 5 stars. Salam. P.s. they gave me a couple falafels while I waited for my take out. Thank you. They were great as well.
We came to grab a quick bite, ordered hummus and chicken wrap. Everything was delicious. The lady who was serving I assume she is the owner) was great. We will definitely come back. Thank you
