The margarita was decent but reasonably priced at $7. We enjoyed complimentary chips and salsa for checking in, which, while not gourmet (tasting like store-bought), gave us something to snack on. We ordered the cottage pie and the garlic burger. Both dishes were quite good; the cottage pie was essentially a meat chili topped with mashed potatoes, reminiscent of shepherd's pie—an excellent choice after a long day. The garlic burger was tasty but could have used a bit more garlic. Overall, the food was surprisingly good, accompanied by a decent selection of beers. Happy hour features all-day margarita and mule specials for $7. Atmosphere and Service: The service was friendly and quick. The restaurant is spacious, with plenty of seating and a bar area featuring a ranch theme. There are TVs and an outdoor patio, making it a great spot for larger groups. It felt like a local watering hole during our visit. Price/Value: Generous portion sizes. Would I return? Likely, for some beers and snacks, but I'd also like to explore some other nearby options before coming back.
I had a bad feeling about this place as soon as we walked in the door. It just seemed dirty. Our table was wet and sticky. I ordered the taco plate, my friends ordered burgers. My friends said their burgers were delicious. My taco platter was not delicious and I found a rubber band in the rice. The tacos came with limes. The limes were wet and discolored. In hindsight I should have ignored the limes, but I really like lime juice on my tacos, so I squeezed the juice of one of the limes on a taco. The taco mysteriously took on a margarita flavor, leading me to believe these limes may have previously been in someone's cocktail. The service was horrible. On a positive note, when you check in with Yelp you get free chips and salsa. It's bottled salsa, which lessens your chance of finding foreign objects in it.
This place has been here for a long time. When they first opened, there wasn't a lot of competition. Now there certainly is competition. This was one of the first places to come in and open as the mountain biking revolution started. They've kept things up at a level to be relevant. We were passing through on the way to Bluff. It was the first day of the pre-jeep safari events. Town was getting crowded. Eddie's managed that well. The food was the pub grub you expect done well. Even thought the burger was cooked a bit more than I wanted, it was very juicy, and tasty. You could taste the beef. That's unusual. The beer selection good. The service solid. Eddie's deserves its moniker as a local institution.
Bad vibe when you enter. Those thin little hairs on the back of your neck rise up and you know you're in for a bad experience, but you hope you can beat the odds and make it good. Sit at the bar and have a cocktail. Just about the only place in town you can. Zero service and the food quality is jail mediocre. We wanted to love this place,, but forget it. Needs new ownership, new name, new reputation, new everything. Go elsewhere.
My sister and I had dinner at this restaurant, and it was fantastic! Our server, Amber, was incredibly sweet and attentive. I ordered the Chimichurri Sirloin Steak, and it was amazing! Even the sides, which I usually find bland and mushy at restaurants, were fresh and flavorful—definitely a pleasant surprise! The mashed potatoes were excellent too. The steak was definitely the highlight; the Chimichurri added a nice kick, and the steak was hot and juicy. My sister got the cheeseburger, and she loved it! Don’t miss out on trying the Mojito—it’s delicious!
