Contribuer aux commentairesThis hotel is a great option for a quick escape from NYC! The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and attentive to our needs. There are plenty of local attractions to explore near the hotel. There is also a restaurant on the premises that offers a fantastic selection of menu options for diners.
This restaurant is nothing to write home about. It's clean, but could use some updating. The food is overpriced, with a mediocre pizza costing $28 and all cocktails priced at $20 each. I was curious to try it out, but I won't be returning. With a nightly rate of $500 during the mid-week off season, I'm sure I can find a nicer place to dine.
We used to stay at The Yacht Club for years, but since Gurneys took over, it has become overpriced and lacking in hospitality. During breakfast today, a couple was turned away when they requested to sit outside, only to see others being seated outside shortly after. The service was slow, and despite asking multiple times for water, it was not brought promptly. The staff seemed disinterested and made the patrons feel like a bother. It's disappointing to see the decline of a place that was once great for 30 years. My daughter had even considered getting married there, but we will definitely not be choosing that option now.
Honestly I had the best Turkish sandwich of my life here last week. Perfection.
1st day, found pool closed at 4pm. Called gurneys to find out why, and was left on hold. 2nd day key didn't work, called again, spoke to abbey... hung up. We enjoyed pool, and breakfast, but evening was totally understaffed for the amount of people that are staying.. Not to mention the ants in the bathroom....... for the amount of money, we expected different.
