Lakeside Grill Monterey

Great breakfast, wonderful view, clean cheerful furnishings and good friendly service. so place offers an extensive egg menu with a generous selection of Mexican egg breakfast choices. they also have a good selection of breakfasts on the American traditional lists and many waffel and pancake dishes. my wife had the pancakes without sugar dust ordered and they really enjoyed them. she had a side of speck we shared. a piece is in the image of my Burrito breakfast, it is a good stripe. the breakfast burrito was great, but a little different from the typical: folded egg in the middle with roasted bean and cheese. on the side is delicious homemade guacamole, pico and sour cream. they also have 25 types of tee from the pot available, carmel valleying company coffee, and all traditional lunch items on the menu.

The breakfast dishes were huge. They keep refilling your coffee and are very attentive. If you stay at the hotel you get a $2 discount coupon.

Attached to Monterey Bay lodge, if you stay at the hotel you can get $2.00 entree coupons. Relatively empty when we sat for breakfast. Entrees were large and shareable. Huevos rancheos were good as was the burrito. Fast service and food prepared quickly.

I ordered the Huevos Divorciados, which had two eggs each smothered in red or green sauce and served with chilaquiles, which was absolutely delicious. The décor is colorful and fun. The wait staff are very nice and attentive my only complaint is we felt a bit rushed.

The portions are generous, and everything was incredibly fresh. There are plenty of options for Benedict dishes, including large horned beef cooked from scratch, as well as fresh Dungeness crab and crab cakes.
