Contribuer aux commentairesWe have been here on an organized trip and part of the program was to visit a Chianti winery with a lunch. The wines were nice, especially the welcome wine, and the dessert wine. Unfortunately I did not like the food, it was not bad, but not my taste. On the other hand the owners (it is a family business) and the staff was kind and friendly.
Great food, great service, very nice wine... Overall, wonderful experience! We booked a table for 5 and got a 5 course meal. Appetizers were delicious. They have an awesome chicken liver paté they serve on toasted bread. Everybody loved it! Then they served us a vegetable lasagna, which was also delicious. Then pasta with duck ragù (nice and very tasty) and after that we got quick seared steak, so tasty and tender! Then we had dessert (and coffee), but I had had so much food I had to decline. But everything was perfect. Service was fast and the staff was friendly and attentive. We will definitely go back!
Reserved the previous day on the Fork. They denied our reservation at arrival saying they couldn't find my name, although I showed them the confirmation mail. I asked for a solution but they could not accomodate the 2 of us ! I reserved thanks to all the good comments but It's a big fail to me. There were a lot of people, the staff was too busy to find a solution so we left. This place is not a good image of Italy to me.
Unpretentious structure, nothing special, even the reception I would say practically nonexistent, the dinner: there is a fixed menu, in the appetizer the “speck” seemed a little out of place, positive note the cut was very good and tender. Anyway, it's not worth the trip.
We were altogether well, well received and well treated by the kind staff. The philosophy of the place is dedicated to the groups of holidaymakers, therefore fixed menu or à la carte with practically the same things. A discreet appetizer, including a very good christmas at the Lampredotto, really great. The rest of the dish was normal, two slices of sliced and cheese and two other more trivial croutons. Then a good cut, with tasty meat but not frilled. In short, a good place, economic spending and pleasant environment.
