The rooms are large and super comfortable. The surrounding area is beautiful. Mario was so nice we loved our stay and can recommend this place as very good value for money.
Excellent food, traditional and local. It is slightly expensive but worth the experience. Staff is very helpful, although the owner may come across as being a bit harsh. Don't worry, just enjoy the food!
We were really pleased to have celebrated our baby from you. perfect service, high quality food, care of the outside buffet and attention for everyone. a guarantee. Good.
I have visited here at least a dozen times. Never once was I ever disappointed! The hosts, Mario and his master-chef wife Chiara, are gracious, fun and everything one could desire. Their Agriturismo establishment also offer about 6 rooms double or triple) and 2 fine apartments. Everything is fastidiously clean and best of all, their entire menu is 100% bio organic). I was astounded with the freshness of their eggs, and I've never tasted such marvelous, SOFT Mozzarella made just down the street). It appears that every farmer and grower here are all strict believers and followers of organic growing practices! This place is a national treasure. The magnificent views of the drive here and the mountain views are stunning. In addition... for 6 terrible months this area was a bitter battle ground during WW 2. The Brazilian army, then Americans finally brought freedom. 55 years after the war, One old farmer, when hearing I was an American, knelt on both knees and kissed my feet !!! How could I not be overwhelmed? There is also a wonderful museum here about the war to visit. Plus mountain bikes with helmets AND electric assist) to rent.
We had a very nice experience at Il Pallazino a few days ago. First we gave a hand (a very small one) to clean the harvested mais and then: polenta with ragout, crescentine (little round traditional breads), gnocco fritto (deep fried little breads) with ham, salami, pesto (a greasy mixture with bacon, rosemary, garlic, like butter), parmigiano reggiano, ricotta, casciotta (young cheese). Followed by polenta of chestnuts with fresh cream and ricotta, then pancakes of chestnuts and finally coffee! The host just put the bottles of homemade spirits on the table: help yourself! Be very careful with Mario 's Cent 'erbe (100 herbs) it is really very strong! There were also musicians and singers performing old songs. A wonderful evening! Grazie Chiara, Mario e tutto lo staff!
