Jean's Trinidad Foods - Montréal

I just walked by in NDG and came in to see the menu. I later came back and here is my conclusion: the prices are reasonable and the food is absolutely delicious! I ate her veggie roti and my boyfriend had the chicken dish. Both our meals were savory; the hot sauce is very good and her homemade whole wheat wrap for the roti is freaking tasty. I'm a picky eater and I loved it, so I am convinced that you'll like it too.

Jeans is an absolutely amazing place! The food is homemade and incredible and the owner is a wonderful woman who is always lively and in good spirits. Everything from the Pholourie and Doubles to Chicken Roti and Patties, Jeans serves up one hell of a good meal at any time of the day. Spice lovers MUSTT ask for extra spicy (it's worth it! . Fantastic place.

J'ai adoré WoW !!!. Je suis d'efinitivement vendu a ses roti et ses doubles ,et je demande extra spicy et je ne suis pas decu de sa petite sauce ,spicy spicy yaya !! je ne connais pas le nom de la sauce ,excuser moi .<br/ <br/ Un soir d'emplois jai arretté chez Jean's pour m'achetter 1 roti pour souper ,rendu a l'heure du souper dans la cuisine de mon emploi, mes collegues mon tous regardés comme si jetais un salaud de pas leur avoir amenné des roti's haha ,la semaine suivante je fut forcer de leurs en amenner ... voila comment les roti son bon : <br/ <br/ jai aussi adoré son chicken curry , on voit vraiment que cest de la cuisine maison typiquement Trinidad ,fais avec amour !!! merci xxx<br/ <br/ sorry for my english , i know its a english site ...it was easier for me in french : amen.

All of her dishes are packed with flavor and made from scratch; she makes the roti skins and fillings fresh every day. Additionally, she offers homemade treats like potato pies, doubles, palouries, sweet bread, pone, and during the summer, ice cream, ginger beer, and sorrel for dessert. The portion sizes at Jean's are generous, and even as a big eater, I sometimes struggle to finish a veggie roti. The restaurant is well-maintained and underwent renovations in July of 2012. Having sampled various Caribbean eateries in the NDG area, I can confidently say that Jean's is my preferred choice.

Jean's is the go-to spot for the best Roti in town! The whole wheat and pumpkin shrimp options are worth a try, but my personal favorite is the curry goat. The restaurant recently underwent renovations and now has a great new look. When it comes to Trinidadian food, Jean's is definitely the top choice. Don't just take my word for it, go check it out for yourself! And don't forget to try the ginger beer too.
