La Cage aux Sport - Montréal

I had always heard about La Cage and finally decided to stop in for dinner and drinks. Unfortunately, my experience was incredibly disappointing. The service was not only terrible, but practically non-existent, even while sitting at the bar. It took a long time to get a drink, and after that initial contact, we didn't hear from the server again until we had to ask for our bill, which also took a while to get delivered.

This establishment is participating in the government's promotion of vaccination passports, which some may find discriminatory. Despite this, my visit revealed that the food was mediocre at best. The dishes were edible but seemed to be of lower quality and not particularly fresh. I would not recommend this place and would rate it no more than 1 star.

The food at this restaurant is excellent and perfect for dinner or lunch. The service was very good, but the atmosphere inside the building was awful. There were plastic walls surrounding the counter, and all the kitchen staff were wearing face shields, which was concerning. The breadsticks are worth trying, but the restaurant was completely empty the entire time.

The food cost alot. some items very good like chicken wings but some not very good like burgers. too much noise and cant listen to sports game because they put music instead.

Went with a group and had to wait about 10 minutes before they could seat us in an area that had no one in it. They did have free popcorn to eat mind you we weren't offered it while we waited one of the members of our group took it upon himself to grab it from the popcorn dispenser just inside the door. We ordered beers and most of us got our beer, but there were 3 that got lost in the mix somehow ... and they brought some brand of beer that we didn't order and the server said that the table ordered it, I'm dropping it on the table ... and still the 3 did not have their order. Food came in a relatively good time and was tasty but fairly pricey. If you're looking for a sports bar with lots of TV's, this is the place. Just don't expect great service and expect an above average price on the food.
