Here, a number of local business people had their lunch so we thought it was a good sign and tried it. We were delighted about the quality and tastiness. The service was good although we felt that some of the rubbish laying around could have been easily removed by the numerous staff.
Came here once during our stay in Candolim after it had been suggested by friends. It cost us 1200 rupees for the taxi, who waited the day for us. The shack is at one end of the beach and although the shack was quite busy, it felt nice and peaceful. The beach was very nice, free of any rubbish and there were no hawkers when we were there. Also, the sea wasn't as rough as it was in Candolim. We had lunch here which was very nice. We both had noodle dishes which were tasty and we were given plenty. The prices are good and were comparable with other shacks we had been to.I don't know anything about the huts, but I'd definitely recommend coming here for a change of pace from the busier resorts. Much more laid back.
I have been to this place like 4 times. Must visit and to stay shack if looking for less crowded beaches and peaceful environment. Rooms are good enough and hospitality is excellent including food quality
I have been to Goa twice and both times loved and stayed in Morjim. Golden eye is the perfect choice of resort to stay at, as the staff, the location, the accommodation and atmosphere is second to none. As a single girl travelling alone I really value being surrounded by friendly faces and the staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. As a former professional chef I can assure you that the food is not only delicious and fresh, the presentation is exceptional which is something a lot of restaurants overlook. The huts are made of wood, super clean, beautifully constructed with aircon, modern bathrooms and balconies or private terraces. There are plenty of sunloungers and palm shaded huts for the sun worshippers and of course there's the beach.....I've travelled a lot and it doesn't get better than this beach....paradise for sure...highly recommended.
Stayed for 4nights at golden eye Beach ResortMorjim, where Golden Eye is located, is a good 100 mins drive from Airport. But the drive is worth it, since the Beach is excellent, water is clean and waves are calm.It itself is a well maintained property with tents and cottages. But apart from the accommodation that they offer, they seem to have to have got their act right in marketing it as as a very popular party place. The rooms are at the front end and middle of the resort and as one walks down through the resort, adjoining the beach, they have developed the party Rooms are excellent according to rates...Staff is very cooperative nd food is very tasty...Owner is very kind hearted..Service is good and the Morjim beach is fantastic... We would definately visit next time here... ENJOY
