Best shawarma in town. Was born a km away and 40 years later still here and delicious. Come back from the states just for it.
I love the varied menu. However, as a vegetarian, a was surprised that some items aren't include non- vegeterian ingridients. For example, simple lentil soup is basing on meet broth, but the cafe didn't mark it at all. Si,you have to ask maaaany times to confirm which dishes are really vegeterian.
This review has been edited on 7/12/2020. Previously I gave this place five stars but I had to change the rating since I no longer feel this place is up to standards. WARNING: the place is not COVID safe!!! The personnel do not enforce social distancing. Just after we got seated, two people walked in and occupied a nearby table in front of us, regardless of the fact that the hall had many other vacant tables; one of those people was sneezing and it made us feel ucomfortable as we were worried the germs they had exhaled could have reached our table. I don't know why these guests have chosen to do this and why nobody told them otherwise, it was really stressful for me and my wife. The managers didn't seem to care and waiters wore masks loosely hanging on their chins, leaving most of the face open. In the past, I used to be a frequent visitor of this place for two reasons: (a) excellent and cheap shawarma and baba-ghanoush and (b) one of the best shisha in town. The owner seems to have recently re-worked the menu, and the place now charges more for the regular food, which somehow tastes more bland now? I am not totally sure what exactly has changed, but it did, and it got worse. They put a lot of chips in shawarma wraps and less chicken now. I couldn't really enjoy the meal, nor did my partner.
Its wonderful.. They even save great meals for a bar
