The Hahndorf Old Mill - Mount Barker

Went here a long time ago, but came across these old photos, so thought I would say that this is a great place to eat German pub grub as well as drink good German beers in this charming town of Hahndorf, South Australia, fairly close to Adelaide.

The Hahndorf Old Mill is one of my favorite places to visit for a night out has a huge buffet with so many choices roast,seafood, vegetables, salads, cheeses,cakes, cheeses just to mention a few. Just to top the night off they put on great shows. You can book for diner and show or show only. They also have accommodation no need to drive home

The Old Mill hotel in Harndorf is one of my favorite place to go for a drive in the Adelaide Hills and have some great food which doesn't cost too much. This place offers in my opinion the best buffet lunch and dinner every day. The buffet offers a large variety including soups, salads, cold meats, curries!!!, German specialities, roast vegetables and meats, chips and much more. Also they have dessert buffet which are delicious. Last time I went there with some friends on a Sunday. Beautiful venue. Many people were there and there was a birthday party as well. The food was delicious and I wish I could eat more. My favorite food on that day was plum glazed pork chops. They had roasts, pickles, fried food, samosas and rice and curry and many more. The waiters are very friendly and they will come and pick up the used plates and cutleries. Prices are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday Friday Adults $21.00 Senior Card Holders $18.90 Tuesdays $15 lunch Dinner kids under 12 for $12.95 Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays Adults $23.00 Senior Card Holders $20.70 No Senior Discount on Public Holidays Wednesday nights are Schnitzel Night $15 Soup, chicken or beef Schnitzel with your own topping and Sundae.

I just went on Wednesday. Half buffet~ not much choice. Schnitzel Night. Only for Pork chicken and beef.

Stay for 4 nights in room 223, my customer stayed in room 220. Both rooms were very good. Room 220 has two rooms, room on the back has a large bed (queen or double) there is a single bed in the room. Room 223 has only one double bed. The rooms were cleaned daily, well made by the friendly cleaners. Mom's daughter Combo, they smiled very politely. The hotel restaurant is massive, lots of space the meals are excellent. Well expensive, worth money. The area is very quiet, would recommend a stay here where you can support yourself while exploring the stunning Adelaide Hills. Our customer absolutely loved his stay at Hahndorf Old Mill Hotel.
