I had forgotten about Mount Hawthorn as a great restaurant destination until my wife reminded me of the delicious wood-fired half duck I had enjoyed there years ago. I decided to order the duck again, and it was just as tasty as I remembered from 8 years ago. My wife's Osso Bucco was good overall, but it was a bit salty and the meat could have been more tender. The cheese board we ordered was a highlight, especially the Gorgonzola which was a delightful Italian take on the famous English Stilton. We highly recommend Divido for a fine dining experience. And we must mention that the bottle of Rolf Binder Shiraz we had was truly exquisite.
The food was really very good and the service was good. I liked that g/f was clearly marked plenty of options. It was odd that the my only had 3 tables in on a Saturday night, though.
We had a fantastic tasting menu with wine pairings at this restaurant. The atmosphere was cozy and the staff was friendly. It was quiet during the week, so we were able to choose our table easily.
This restaurant is charming with delicious pannacotta and donuts, excellent service, and a pleasant atmosphere. It was not very crowded, possibly due to the challenging economic environment at the moment.
We had dinner at Divido on Wednesday night and enjoyed their 2 course special for $39.50. We decided to share our starter Calamari. Our choice of main was beef cheek and lamb shank and for dessert it was Zuppa. All the food was lovely, We loved that immensely. It was great value for money. Service was also excellent. <br/ <br/ We will be back for sure.
