There is no one at the hotel when you check in and check out, you have to call someone to get a code for the lock box that is on your door to your room. There is no sign saying the name of the hotel.

Good place to stop for a refresher drink and a quick bite. Atmosphere is 100% a bar scene. Service was on the rough side. I had wings and a couple drinks. Which were good. I gave it 3 stars because it was exactly as expected.

I enjoyed everything about my stay. I booked 3 nights and ended up extending my stay another night! The staff was helpful and delightfully welcoming.. The room had a cozy and inviting personality with it's own personal touches. I was pleased with the cleanliness (the carpet could use some attention) and met all the amenity needs could possibly think of. Great location and enjoyed learning the history of the building as well as the town. I can't wait to book a stay here again!

Don't let the website fool you. Maybe the hotel part is open, but don't hold your breath on the tavern opening any time soon. This place sold almost three years ago, and still has not re opened. The new owner, who has a tendency to purchase everything around, NEVER renovates or re opens anything he purchases. He is a disgrace to the community! He purchased the historic Deer Lodge well over TEN years ago, and to date still has not re opened. The Holly Inn (now Mountain Creek Tavern which the name should not have changed! is no different. It's a sad, sad shame that these beautiful historic buildings are purchased by this person. Now the historic Boiling Springs Tavern is in his clutches...and like everything else, will probably never re open. These are just three of the places he has purchased and ruined. There are several more in the Mt. Holly and Boiling Springs communities. It's sickening to see these beautiful buildings fade away to nothing as the years pass by taking away outstanding restaurants and inns that should be open and functioning! Pieces of history lost because a greedy man with no conscious buys everything around! He needs to be stopped!
