Freddie's Tavern - Mount Pleasant

Great service from Kaley! Lots of menu choices and domestic and craft beers. The creamy kielbasa soup was delicious. Also nice that they have daily specials. Will definitely visit again.

I am staying in Mt pleasant for a few days and I thought, oh I'd like some chicken. I ordered the broasted chicken from Freddy's tavern. I was not happy. The chicken was over cooked, dry as a campfire and completely unseasoned. There wasn't even salt on it. How do you take a super simple dish like this and screw it up? I also got a baked potato with cheese. Also unseasoned but at least it was ok, and the potato chicken soup. Let me state again NO SEASONING. I stg Freddie must be an old fashioned English guy from the 1400s . But some salt for Pete's sake!

First time visiting and it was great food experience. It's a typical small town tavern, nothing special there. But I sat at the bar and had their cod dinner. Hand dipped, not too breaded, and delicious fish! Fries were among the best I have had in a good while. Steamed veggies (at least a little bit healthy) were really good too. A nice find on my visit to Mount Pleasant.
