Our server was adequately attentive and helpful. We had some penne bolognese, and one of our party had the chicken livers on grits with crispy Brussels sprouts. An unusual selection that she said was excellent. Salad with arugula and goat cheese was very good. The decor was sort of ordinary but not unpleasant (dressed up for a strip mall location). We would definitely come to this spot again.
The food was exceptional. We tried the calamari fries and the tuna tartare for starters. Calamari was tender and not over breaded, both sauces we delicious and tasted as though they were prepared in-house. The tuna was a delightful surprise! Perfectly seared and the pickled cucumber paired with the sauces gave an exciting experience. There were several. Some spicy and salty, some creamy and sweet. Together they made the tuna a star and turned the well balanced dish into something I would order everytime. Seared sea scallops were an offered special. Myself and one other person split the dish so that we could have salads, too. The chef was kind enough to split our portion onto separate plates so that the presentation didn't suffer. How kind. Scallops were perfectly seared the balsamic reduction was a great compliment. Every bite was as good as the first and I didn't want it to end. The salads were unexpectedly elevated as well. The arugula and beet salad came with fried goat cheese. A detail we appreciated and didn't expect. The ceasar dressing was obviously made in house fresh. Both delicious. Service was on point, too! Try it. You won't be disappointed!
I loved the meatloaf, and my wife (a picky eater) loved the pulled pork mac and cheese and the garlic tomato soup. We will have to make this one of our regular spots!
I went here for lunch. I ordered the prime rib sandwich with pomme frites. The food was fresh and hot. The server was very attentive and did a great job. The location has lots of parking. I will be going back soon.
Consistently one of the best restaurants in Mount Pleasant. Good for a semi-casual dinner with dishes ranging from 20 to 30 dollars. The cornflake crusted catfish over succotash is my favorite. For appetizers you can’t go wrong with the calamari fries or Korean wings. Servers are always pleasant and accommodating. Generally plenty of seats on weekdays but you may want to get a reservation on weekends (which is easy online through resy). Parking: Parking is nearby in the Whole Foods shopping center parking lot. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access with a curb with paved ramps nearby.
