The fish and chips here are delightfully light and crispy. It might be a bold claim, but I honestly believe this is the best fish and chip shop in the neighborhood. I've tried many from various suburbs! They use real calamari rings instead of the processed variety. The fish was moist, and the potato cakes were perfectly cooked, not soggy at all!
The battered hamburger wasn’t quite what I expected; it turned out to be just a large battered burger patty—not the deep-fried, fully assembled burger I had hoped for. While it was a bit greasier than the other fried items, it wasn't bad. As for the super pack, it included fish, chips, a potato cake, and dim sim. Everything was cooked well and not overly greasy. The fish maintained its batter nicely without falling apart, which was great. I also appreciated that all the seafood displayed at the counter looked really fresh, which is definitely a plus.
Wow this place is busy!!!! We ordered seafood basket. $35That has a bit of everything. Husband actually said it was quite nice. Different from the previous management which the flake is tasteless. Staff is very friendly. It takes a while to get the take away ready. The prawns and calamari were very well fried. It was chewy, not rubbery and prawns were cooked just right. The portion is quite generous enough for a family of 4 with young children.
Under new management and it is great. Feels like good old fashioned fish and chips. We had burgers with the lot, grilled barramundi, calamari and chips. Serving size and quality was great for the price.
