Wow, what a pleasant surprise. After our plantation tour, the café served a delicious lunch. Flounder, Chicken Salad, Crab Melt?all incredibly delicious. Even the supplements were high quality. The shop has local vegetables and products from the plantation. Meat and seafood counters are also amazing.
It has been a while since my last visit, but nothing has changed and so it should be done. The market-slash café is one of my favorite stops when I make my way to the Charleston coast. You have a piece of food called Charleston Caviar that I fell in love years ago, and every time I go, I always have to grab a few. This is a family-friendly institution that everyone should stop for the contract he offers.
I love this market and restaurant. The products and many articles in the store are from the plantation or locally. Large variety of Southern canned goods. Restaurant meals are very tasty. A great place to stop on the way from Charleston.
I didn't find anything that truly caught my eye, but then again I wasn't there for very long. I'm going to come back later in the spring/summer to see what they offer. They do have a large selection of wine, and coffee. Small gifts, and the vegetables looked good. I assume visiting in the morning is the best bet.
