From the beginning to the end they made it a simple process and the food was amazing! Savannah was a joy to work with and helped me so much to bring everything together. The opportunity to have drinks and a bartender and server was a great help and made the process so much easier. The guests could not say enough good things about the delicious food and the beautiful furnishings. You cannot go wrong with Made South for your event!
July 2019: Visit Dallas Jane last night with my lunches Carmine and Rachel Grasso. Tuesday is “Date Night” at Dallas Jane so it is a good opportunity to taste different dishes at a discounted price. Some of the appetizers divided was a hunk of freshly baked bread and seaweed butter. I have to call out as strange as it sounds, it was fucking good. The bread was perfect with a beautiful crust and soft interior, but the butter was so interesting and tasteful. The Corn Crab, Fresh Pasta, Corn Broth, Crab Salad, Parmesan appetizer disappeared quickly and was delicious. I started with the appetizer Tomato Salad, which consisted of exceptionally fleshy peas tomatoes, burrata, corn, ramps, duke Mayo and bread crumbs. While this is an appetizer, it could also be served one side at each of the meals here. The combination of aromas and textures was spot and the dis was lite and extremely refreshing. For dinner... I decided to try the Prime NY Strip with Elotes (cooked sweet corn in a spicy mix), Chayote and Cotija. The steak was prepared as desired a perfect medium rare/medium and the flavors were incredible. The car was perfect and the taste was great with the fairy tale... extremely delicate steak! The pages were really good, but contained a little too much heat for my taste. My roommates went with the Wild Maine Scallops... I had this court before and it's wonderful! Dessert here is always an adventure... your taste buds. I tried the Polandta Pound Cake with champagne poached peaches, honey and Basil Ice Cream. The challenge here was to find out the fusion of the different flavors in this dish. Basil Ice Cream?? Seriously? Seriously good!!! You will be a bit empty when you have to Google what your dessert is made, but the combination of flavors was incredible! While I'm not a cheesecake fan, Carmine and Rachel made the chocolate cheesecake, Cherry Preserves, Matcha Crumb, and Lavender Cream disappear! Service... the standard here is exceptional, and was surpassed by the ladies who looked after us! June 2018: My second visit to Dallas Jane and brought a friend. For appetizers we went with the Crawfish Hush Puppies and the Korean meatballs that are excellent. For dinner, I went with the Sea Trout with poached vegetables and a great sauce. My friend chose the Halibut with white asparagus, trumpet mushrooms and Beluga-Lentil. Both fish dishes were exceptional and the sauces really disassembled them. This was my first time with Sea Trout and really loved the aromas and texture of the fish. While I cannot remember the name of the French dessert, it was great! This place is a very welcome addition to the Murfreesboro dining scene. Very unusual dishes and flavors combined to create a rare culinary experience.
A fabulous meal at Dallas Jane! Their signature cocktails are delicious and different form other bars. The coal mining is a certain must. Small plates for us contain Korean wings, toads hushpuppies, and carburized okra, all wonderful! Our ducks were pork chops with peach salsa and grits and a ricotta gnocchi with shrimps. Ends the meal with champagne poached peaches. Just wonderful from start to finish!
This place never disappoints! The waiting staff is still a little green, but we live in a college town where it's hard to find waiters who care. The food is always amazing. Meals are creative and fresh. The drinks are very well made. I love going a happy hour and sitting at the bar. The bartenders are a big conversation partner. You pay a little more because of the high quality, but it's totally worth it.
Dallas Jane never disappoints, from unique cocktails to a seasonally changing creative menu. And the desserts....wow. The food and atmosphere is so unexpected for Murfreesboro, as chef driven restaurants aren't common there. Don't let the strip mall location deter you. The moment you walk through the front door, you're forget all about it. Never had a bad dish or experience.
