They offer soy milk, oat milk and almond milk alternatives for their coffee drinks. They have a vegan bagel option, but they were from the vegan cream cheese when I went so I did not try it (that was disappointing, maybe call ahead to find out if they have the cream cheese or not before you try this product). The cashier also said they had a raw bar of a kind that was also vegan. These are all vegan options in this place so with a bakery item, a food item, and a few drinks options is it a place you can go if you desperately find a place that offers *something* for vegans. It could also be worth a support so they continue to offer vegan food here. All in all, the staff was friendly and seemed to know what was vegan and what was not. The vegan muffin and bagel are clearly marked as such.
I checked the menu online and went here because I thought they had vegan options. They don't. They don't make vegan alternatives anymore, because they seem to not sell well enough. It was a few minutes after 1:00, and I starved, so I ordered the avocado toast minus the eggs and cheese, and I was told that they can't do it because they stop doing breakfast at 1 and I couldn't order anything else on the menu because they didn't make the menus on Sunday.... They were so rude and not helpful to round it off. And my friend, who ordered the regular non- vegan cheesecake, said it was disgusting. Also 4.50 for a single cookie?! Are you high?
Small bakery is located in the sweet downtown Napa area. You have some nice vegan options (Beere Muffin, vegan shortbread, cupcakes) and I got the muffin and shortbread. The writer let me know that there are no nuts, but they use nuts in the plant. Muffin was moist and not too sweet, Shortbread was “buttery” and crisp!
Easy to hang in. We came to read for an hour. They had music playing. Made for a nice environment. Chocolate cupcakes with soy cream inside is delicious. It costs just over $6. We got a large cup of decaf (they have sit in mugs) for just over $3 each. A couple drinks and a cupcake was $13-14 They also had a cookie we didn't get but looked nice too.
Sweetie Pies is the only bakery in Napa that has made an effort to offer vegan pastries. They offer chocolate or vanilla cupcakes with soy buttercream frosting. Though I’m usually a huge fan of vanilla cake, the chocolate is the clear winner! The frosting is my favorite! They also bake these crumbly, delicious shortbread cookies. And also offer moist berry muffins. You can also order a custom made vegan layer cake. Vanilla or chocolate cake are available with soy pudding between the layers. I ordered one for my husband’s birthday. It was expensive but delicious! In the past, they have been very inconsistent on when the cupcakes are available though it seems to be improving. If we keep asking for vegan options my hope is with the demand, they will always have them baked available.
