So, I wanted to get in one last meal, before they closed up..... and take my boyfriend there, as he’d never been. Drinks Dessert was great. Our crab cake appetizers were only so so.. We both ordered chicken dishes and they were both way undercooked.
So sorry this wonderful restaurant is closing. It's been a Nashville culinary high point for decades and I'll miss it for sure. Many thanks to Vicki and Rick Bolsom and wishing them many happy adventures in their retirement!
Well, it's with a sad heart that I write my last review for Tin Angel as they are closing on March 23, 2019. We have been patrons of this institution since we moved here in 2006, and this was probably the best meal we've ever had there! The Filet with red wine reduction, the NY Strip with Brandy Green Peppercorn sauce and the Angel Burger ALL cooked to perfection. As usual. The wine list was perfect and we even had desert. If you get a chance for one last meal here, do it. We miss you already, Tin Angel. And thank you to Rick and Vicki for many wonderful meals. All the best to you in your next adventures! After hearing about this restaurant was going to be closing later this month, my husband and I wanted to have one more visit. The food was AMAZING, as always, and we are so sad to see this restaurant close. The only real complaint I had about this particular experience (if it even matters) was our waitress. When spending the amount of money we spent for dinner, I expect to be treated a bit nicer. She did her job, but nothing over the top. I had better service the next day at IHOP. She didn’t ask if we wanted an appetizer, I had to tell her we wanted one. I got the impression she assumed that was all we were ordering. I had to tell her we would like to order out entrees. She didn’t mention anything about the daily special to us; although I knew there was one. She refilled our water, but I had to ask for a refill on my tea. She never asked if my husband wanted a second beer, which he would have. After dinner, her body language suggested she assumed we wouldn’t want dessert; however, we did and had to ask for a dessert menu. After our meal and 20% tip, we spent $99. For that price, I would have liked to have been treated a bit better.
The food at Tin Angel is always exceptional. The service and Ambience are excellent. The best restaurant in Nashville.
